Entering Canada is easy, most marinas will have a phone so you can call 1800canpass to check in. Since you are in Sandusky go to Griffin Airport and get an I68 for everyone who will be onboard ~$15 each or a family for ~$40. Checking back in the US will be a phone call only with the I68.

You may enjoy sailing to Leamington, if the weather is nice you can anchor on the south side of Pelee Island or head into Scudders, north side. On Pelee you can check in at Scudders, the West Dock, or Dicks Marina on the south side.

Lots of nice spots to visit.
