A friend of mine told me he was thinking about heading to Oswego for the weekend. He gets there often for races, but that means he generally is at the YC when not racing- so his Oswego tourist knowledge is very dated.
I told him that Coleman's is closed. And so is that market (A&P?) we all loved so much. And that when I was there two years ago the downtown/ bridge area was pretty quiet. And that the open wall is now a big hotel
(albeit, with a wall- but unknown price
Yes, the fort is still there, and the museum, and so is that red porch restaurant (although not on the water). But I'm thinking more along the lines of botiques, fun dining, great pubs, bands/ music
So Oswego friends, is there anything there that would still qualify Oswego as a weekend destination
