It's the new fad these days, these websites that have "normal" sounding names that allow any Joe User to create any article they want, and since it doesn't come from The Onion, people read it and assume that it's actually legit.

Clicking on the author, here's her bio. More amusing than the 330+ "stories" that she has reported on:

Barbara Johnson is a young reporter who has made a name for herself thanks to her thorough researching and formal writing style. A former pornstar, she has rapidly reached the summit in her new profession thanks to her good looks and "social" skills.

If creating fake news articles is the summit of her new profession, media really has gone to Hell.

DUMB DUMB DUMB. Ships could not get through the St. Lawrence River system till it was dredged and locks built and turned into the St Lawrence Seaway in the late '50s. There was a smaller lock system previous to this but was severely limited in vessel length. Of course, no German U Boat would have been able to sneak through even if it met the length restriction
