This was probably the last

pics for this year. A wonderful day on the St. Lawrence. Had the river practically to ourselves.

Spotted this relic under the slips at Prescott. I grew up here and never knew this was here.

Remnants of a 300' or so barge.

We crossed over to Ogdensburg NY where they're unloading huge wind generators.

Those blades are probably 200' long!

Some floating homes on the old Galop Canal at Cardinal ON.

Knottygirlz keeping a sharp lookout for sea creatures lurking just beneath the surface!

And after all that it was that time of the year again to haul the ole' boat out of the water for the season! *sigh*

That's it for boating stories for this year! If all goes well we will hopefully be boatless next year and for a couple more after that! Bigger and better things to come though!

Wow, beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing. Autumn has arrived in Shanghai as well. Had a beautiful time at our local lake today.

It certainly is. We come out on Tuesday.

Sorry to hear that Knotty Boyz is going to be out of boating for a while. Ever find that crazy cat?

Still AWOL. Lori went out to have a look yesterday and leave some food. Trailer park is pretty much shut down for the winter so hopefully he's moved on and found someone to look after him for the winter.

Our boat will come out for it's 7 month layup this week. I will miss it even though we rarely used it this year.

Dang, we're just coming into the best sailing of the year down here. I wonder what 1 year of sailing in Florida is equal to when compared with the snow belt?

Probably somewhere between 2 & 3 yrs. Season's really very short here if you don't have a heated cabin. June to September is about as good as it gets. Cabin heat could extend that another two months or so.

Sigh...

Salt in the wound...

Oh well, we Northerners can always look on the bright side: minus 40C, 8 feet of snow, maybe 6 hours of daylight, exposed skin freezes in 3 minutes and the car won't start, it's all good...

Waaaaaaahhhhh!!!

I don't fish. But, I see 4 or 6 hockey rinks on that inlet in January.
