Re: Pretty darn quiet in GL forum...

Just wanted to say THANKS for keeping all of us FREE to enjoy our lives as we wish. I ended up high in the lottery numbers & so I never served. Back then I thought that was great. Now at 63 I have a different outlook on life & a deep appreciation of those that served ! Again, Thank You !

Re: Pretty darn quiet in GL forum...

Well the Sodus Bay Iceboat Regatta was rescheduled to 25 February. However, warm weather further ruined the ice. 2016/ 2017 is a washout. The Hazards of the Rust Belt.

Re: Pretty darn quiet in GL forum...

Boat ready to launch but marina crew doesn't want to launch any boats because water is a foot below docks and expected to come up another foot. May be a late start.

I've been watching that on the local news. I have floating docks at Oak Orchard and glad I do. If it gets any higher I'll be able to sail over the breakwall. went in last Friday and heading out Saturday.

We launch on Sunday wish it was a week or so later, but the hired crane waits for no one.

Winds out of south today would have been great sail day on Lake Erie

Re: Pretty darn quiet in GL forum...

Waited as long as I could for the wet core in my deck to dry out in heated storage. Now to seal it up and launch, probably another week or so. So many winter projects have become summer projects again!
