Ontario Cruisers - Where on the Net ?

Hi:

Can anyone recommend a place on the net to find Ontario cruisers for the purposes of recommending surveyors and marinas and the like?

Thanks.

Thanks, I will check out the above organization.

Right now I should line up a good marine surveyor in Eastern Ontario (Kingston plus or minus) such that if I see a boat on which I want to make an offer, I have this particular duck in a row. If anyone has any recommendations, please PM.

Also I am interested in what marina I would hypothetically dock at if the boat becomes non-hypothetical. Belleville is geographically closest, but could consider Waupoos or Picton etc. marinas, if there were good reasons to drive the extra 1/2 hour or 45 minutes.

You could always start an Ontario Cruisers Group right here at Cruisers Forum, Boulter. There are a lot of Ontario sailors who are members at CF and the only Social Group that comes close, now, is Cruisers & Sailing Forums - The Great-Great Lakes Group. Check them out to see if their group is useful for you. If not, start your own group and ask the other Ontario sailors to join.

Hi:

I didn't even know this social group area existed. In fact, I can't find it from the top level even now that I know it is here.

I have joined the group.

Thanks for the tip.

Sorry for not providing any directions, Boulter. I'll attach a screen shot, below, but it's really easy to find Social Groups. Locate "Community" in the menu bar at the top that runs just below the box with your user name when you're logged in. Fourth from the left is Community. Click Community to see the drop-down menu, then locate "Social Groups" on the list. Clicking Social Groups will open the Social Groups page.

Look around once you get there . . . you might find other groups you'd like to join, or, as I said, start your own if you don't find exactly what you want.
