I am a Newbie here

I have just joined this group and so I say to all PLEASED TO MEET YOU.
I have just purchased a Carver Santego moored at The Promenada in Missisuaga. The former owner is a man called Venco and is also a Mechanic there.nice helpful honest guy (I think).
I am a retired High School Teacher/Entrepreneur. I have always wanted to do what I am endeavouring to accomplish now.
I am originally from the Hanover area and have lived at a place called Point Clark for many years (it is on Lake Huron).
I have experience with various types of Watercraft however this is the largest I have ever owned.
I definitely need some help with all of this and although Vencohas offered I do not want to be a burden to him since he is quite busy,so I shall be a burden to all of you (LOL).
I am relatively familiar with Marinas in general although I have been away from all of his for some years.
Now ,I have not yet taken over his contract there but I need to make a design soon Feb.15th and pay them a bunch of cash (sigh).
For now If anyone can help me out a bit with this 1st hurdle i.e. plan on becoming a Liveaboard at least to some extent and so what should I do? For the next year i would probably prefer to have the boat moored somewhere in or around the Toronto area.Should I bite the bullet and pay for the whole year at the Promenada ($2200 plus) or are there options.
I shall leave it at that for now and hope some of you kind folk will assist me with advice. Thanks and Take care.
Mark
