Re: Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke high thrust 25" shaft, runs great $500

Hello Pressuredrop,
Would you be willing to arrange shipment if we purchase your outboard? We are in Virginia...
Also, did it effectively push your 30 ft boat? We have a 34 ft Tartan, and need an outboard to maneuver our boat up the ICW. Folks on here have recommended either a 9 / 10 hp w/ high thrust, or a 15. Do you think your motor would do the job? We can't put in an inboard until we move the boat up to our marina for dry dock...

Likely goes through a hole in the cowl for the choke. Those carbs suck. I owned a couple of those motors till I figured out how to start it, not with homemade choke. But nice idea.

I have a ton of parts for these if anyone needs one.

Re: Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke high thrust 25" shaft, runs great $500

motor has been sold, but you will find that one of these has more then enough power to push a tartan 34, just make sure it has the low gears and high thrust prop...

I repowered with a 6hp tohatsu and I accept the limitations of it, but I am a sail boat, it is only used for shifting anchor on calm days, but I still find the 6hp to have more than enough power for my 7 ton boat
