WORK FOR SAIL TIME

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ONLY I am a 67 year old skilled woodworker. The kind of guy that has always done his own home renovations, upkeep and repairs. I have some engine experience too. For my work, I am asking for one day per week out on the water with the owner or who ever can help me get the experience in learning to sail a monogull sailboat.
What I can do:
1. Refinish sailboat hardwoods.
2, Boat repairs or upkeep work
3. Replacement of broken or failing fixtures, including electronics.
4. Sorry but NO bottom cleaning the hull.
I am not a flake, I do not have a criminal record and I own my own home in the high desert. I am not looking for a crashpad. It is too expensive to lease a place near the marina or even motel it. I need a comfortable sailboat to sleep on where I can work. (I have my own tools) I am willing to work 3 days a week on the boat, the rest of the week is my time. In return I would like to sail one day a week (on the weekend) for experience. I do have some experience. Years ago I owned my own small CAT. So far I have taken one ASA course. I feel that I can get things done for the boat owner. A reasonable offer for a reasonable learning experience, At least...I hope so! Re: WORK FOR SAIL TIME

Pity you're not in South Florida, as I could learn from you and you from me. Best of luck in your search!
