Re: watermaker / desalination unit 16-20 GPH

im not sure of the draw when making water but the pumps max draw is 58 amps.
its a 40 inch membrane. they cost about 180-200 usd.

BUT... i found a brand new membrane still in its original packaging that i would be happy to include in the sale.

Membranes are rated at 77°F. Lower water temp = less water made. In cold water you can heat the water to the membrane (heat exchanger, electric) you get more water. But the max rated temp for the membranes is about 110°F. So be careful.

Re: watermaker / desalination unit 16-20 GPH

Thanks Lepke, I have no idea if the membrane in its original packaging is still ok to use. its been stored on the boat so i dont think it would have ever seen temps over 110 but it is atleast a few years old. I would probaby buy a new membrane and keep it as a spare to be on the safe side. Anyway - at $1100 i think this watermaker is a good deal.
I have it up on ebay for $1300 with 9 people watching it. $1100 is the price for fellow cruisers
