| WANTED: FREE CATAMARAN!!!!
You may think this is a strange request , but I am bored in the office today and I remembered reading many years ago about some guy in the States, about 19 years old who wanted a Ferrari but could not afford one, so he put an advert in some publication asking for a free Ferrari and to his delight he was in fact offered 2!!!![]() So here goes (tongue in cheek) , as I cannot afford what I want just yet and I am willing to collect from anywhere, what I would like (in order of importance) is as follows:Lagoon 410 or S2 Lavezzi 40 Lagoon 380 or s2 Lagoon 42 Lagoon 37 Kennex 380 Maxim 380 Athena 38 I will sit here eagerly awaiting all offers, ![]() Thanks |

I read the local Freecycle ads every day. One day I saw someone asking for dry cut firewood (in October!). I thought, "Yeah, like THAT'S going to happen!" He got several offers within a couple of hours. Steve B. PS, I want a Catana 430 owner's version with a carbon mast if anyone has one lying around. |

I'll put out the word here in Hawaii. Will you pick up the shipping cost if it is a little unseaworthy? I know of one that was just dismasted because the new skipper overloaded it for a channel crossing. Just kidding!! Kind Regards, JohnL |

That's really unfair John, as I was reading your reply thinking 'Here we go' I was reaching for my cell phone to book the flight with my right hand and grabbing my lifejacket and sextant with the my left hand and then you deliver the kick in the groin - oh well I will just have to remain depressed a little longer - mind you the weather is a bit cold over here so I can wait for the real deal![]() |

I want to be first on the list for a Gunboat. I'm not picky, any model would be fine.

Sorry. I couldn't resist. I wish you the best of luck and hope to see you sailing over here in your Fontaine Pagot soon. We just had a single handed Japanese skipper pull in the other day. Had done Japan to San Fran then the South Pacific and now here. Kind Regards, JohnL |

Just a few weeks ago I was reading one family's sail blog that is cruising in the Carib right now , and in one of the anchorages there were in, somebody offered them a forty two eight ketch . The guy had it for two weeks and didn't like it . They were a family of four cruising in the thirty six footer . The found the boat a too much of a project and rather be cruising than fixing a boat, so they put that boat for sale on e-bay , and within two hours sold it for $18.ooo

I don't know which way you swing , but unfortunately for you (by the sounds of it) , you would have been very dissapointed as my wife will confirm, so it was lucky you managed to read it slower and realised it read 'CATAMARAN'. | |
