Two Complete Running 60 HP Westerbeke Marine Diesel Engines

I just sold my 42' Pearson sailboat. In the 14 years I owned the boat I acquired two additional engines as spares (that were never needed). The Westerbeke W60 engine is a robust 2.5 liter British Leyland diesel that is commonly used in tractor and taxi engines both in Europe and Hong Kong.

I know the history and prior owners of both of these engines since they came from other Pearson 424 owners. They were started regularly in my garage. Both start easily and run fine. One engine is from the Great Lakes -- it has never been exposed to salt water! It has a 71C Velvet Drive transmission and Sarns hydraulic prop shaft brake. It also has an extra front pulley that can power additional alternators and refrigeration compressors. Its tachometer shows 3551 hours.

The second engine is a 'bobtail' -- the transmission was removed by the prior owner. It has 4639 hours and runs great. These are sweet engines, not discarded re-powers. Both can be test-run in my garage. Both engines come with original technical manuals and parts lists. See attached technical specs for the engines.

In addition to the two 60 HP diesels, I have some new old stock parts including Lucas injectors, glow plugs, water pump parts, filters, a rebuilt circulating pump and several raw water pumps.

I am asking $2975 for the engine/transmission package and $2475 for the bobtail engine. I can make a package deal for both. They are located in North Ft. Lauderdale. Contact me for further information. Hank windman_sail@fastmail.us
