Tartan 30 - $10,000 - St.Augustine

Unfortunately, we have to sell our 1975 Tartan 30 because we are moving out of the country soon. We have had this boat for 2 years and spent the summer on it sailing the southeast coast. The boat is currently docked in St.Augustine.

Atomic 4 Engine
We have redone a lot on the engine. Prior to leaving on our trip down the ICW, we had a mechanic look over everything and he said that it was in better shape than many new engines he works on. There are plenty of hours left on this it.

New Components
Carburetor
fuel pump, sediment bowl, and lines
starter solenoid
points and condenser
distributor cap
voltage regulator
ignition switch and wiring
alternator belt

Issues to address
Choke wire needs replacing, doesn't work from cockpit

Interior

New LED cabin lights
Installed bead board ceiling
Newly recovered cushions
New 8 inch memory foam mattress with Froli system
Most woodwork has been refinished
Pressure water system with shower in head

Issues to address
Bilge pump float switch needs replacing - have a new one just haven't installed it
The windows leaked at some point and warped the cheap veneer over the storage space. It's purely cosmetic but could use replacing. There are no leaks on the boat at this point.

Exterior
Dodger (but needs some stitching)
Recently refinished woodwork
Magma grill
New mast light
Standing rigging in good shape

Issues to Address
Deck needs repainting - previous owner did not use quality paint and it's flaking

Upgrades & Extras
Prop shaft stuffing recently repacked
Self-tailing winches
New rudder (yes, that's an interesting story)
3 Danforth anchors and 200' of new rode
4 sails
New zincs
90 watt solar panel, two new batteries, and new battery switch
Comes with 2003 Achilles inflatable dingy and 2004 4hp 4stroke outboard - both in good condition
Auto pilot on the boat but we've never used it so we don't know if it works

No. That is a picture during shipment and is not our trailer.

Re: Tartan 30 - $10,000 - St.Augustine

I've talked extensively with the owner going on for a month now, and she seems to be a solid, nice boat. I'd be buying her myself except for the fact they are leaving the country this month and can't afford to wait to sell her.

Josh has been very forthcoming with any problems she may have and I urge anybody interested to check the boat out.

Anybody who buys her I think will get a great deal

If you have questions or would like to see the boat (or know someone who does), just PM me and we will work it out. Thanks.
