For Sale: Scrapping a Freedom 30 - Lots of parts

I acquired a Freedom 30 who's sailing days are over. It died of neglect rather than being broken. It's now a lead mine that will be going in a dumpster once we thaw out. The rig and fittings are in excellent shape. It would be a shame to see that nice carbon fiber mast become the worlds most expensive flag pole. I suspect it would make for a great junk rig conversion.

Other fittings such as portlights, hatches, rudder etc are available if anyone has a specific interest / needs a replacement. Prices are negotiable. The boat is located in Boston.

Balsa core issues?

Abandoned boat from a marina. No engine or sails and lots of rainwater inside. The hull actually seems in decent shape. In a different boat market it would be worth restoring.

I have a 1984 39 and those portlights are likely the same I have. I'd be interested in at least two if not four of those Bomar anodized ones. How about the main traveler?

I would really like to know the whole story behind that. A quality, expensive boat first produced in 1987 should never have fallen into that state of disrepair.

I saw a few sorry looking freedoms during my boat search. I think it may come down to the balsa hull, not necessarily at the factory, but owner additions or lack of maintenance. Once the hull gets wet, why bother taking care of the rest of it? The ones I saw had suffered heavily from water intrusion through the deck, so much so I just assumed the hull was a loss.

Do you have any pedestal instrument panels? Don't really care what brand, but I need it to fit a Raymarine control head. Looking for a single, or a four instrument version.
