Chart chip door hinge is broken, however it worked fine with the pin pushed into the hinge retainer, and a bit of duct tape over the door. Not a big deal I thought as one only opens this door once to insert the charts, so I ran the boat 4500 NM in this condition.
The selector knob sealing membrane is now rotten, and a known failure point with this generation of MFD. It still worked when removed from my boat with the knob taped over, and if I could find a new switch I would keep this plotter.
