Propeller 2 Blade Feathering 17” Variprop DF-80

$500 or best offer. Two-blade 17 inch feathering Variprop DF-80 propeller; typically used on sailboats with up to a 40 HP inboard engine. These propellers sell new for over $2800. This is an older model, but has never been in the water and is in near perfect condition. It was bought new and never installed. Variprop now allows owners to specify shaft size when purchasing props. When this propeller was purchased, it was bought with a ½” pilot hole, with the assumption that a Prop Shop would cut the shaft size hole and key it to the owner’s specifications. I have gotten quotes from one of the better Prop Shops in Florida that this process could be done for about $100. I’m glad to answer any questions. Thanks for looking.

Re: Propeller 2 Blade Feathering 17” Variprop DF-80

Hi, any idea if there is a left hand or right hand rotation designation. Not sure if matters since it is a folding/reversible prop...

Thanks,

fstik

The prop opens equally in both directions. So yes, I believe that your are right, it doesn't matter which way it is rotated.
