Parting out Yanmar 2QM20
Parting out a Yanmar 2QM20 engine.
When we bought our current boat we knew the engine was not running. Found out poor winterization by PO = cracked block.
Everything else appears to be in good shape. Let me know what you need.
Thanks

Re: Parting out Yanmar 2QM20
Hi there,
I'm interested in the exhaust manifold from this engine. I have a 2QM15 with a cracked manifold and it looks like, although the part numbers are different, that the two might be identical or nearly so.

Have someone in the welding field check to see if you can have the engine welded, I have done this before and have never had a failure. I have a Volvo Penta V8 right now I'm beginning to remove to weld both sides of the block.

Re: Parting out Yanmar 2QM20
ALX,
I pulled the manifold off and it looks good. The passages are clear and I see no cracks. I will take it to work and pressure test the water passages tomorrow. I would like $100 plus shipping provided no issues are found.
Thanks

ALX,
The manifold is in a condition that I would not feel comfortable selling it to anyone.
Sorry......

Cutaway, you might want to read the forum rules:
