Monitor Windvane

Decided not to go cruising...so we're going to sell our hard to find used Monitor Windvane, never installed on our boat. Excellent condition....serial #70990G...was delivered in 1990. It is made with 304 stainless back then not the new 316 of today...although there are no significant signs of rust anywhere. Everything looks almost new and I believe this unit has many years of life left.

Previous owner installed on his boat (a Hartley-Sampson I believe) but was removed and never used as he chose not go cruising. Windvane has been stored in garage attic for last several years.

Called Scanmar International with serial number and they reported no damage claims or parts requests except for questions about painting the rudder paddle w/bottom paint, which was never done and unecessary as it is stainless. Unit comes with new wheel adaptor ($450+), about 10 mounting poles (some extra), mounting brackets and upper air paddle. Scanmar says their equipment is pretty adaptable to most any style of boat (double enders, reverse transom etc). They have mounting instructions for most production boats.

Asking $1795.00 plus shipping which can be upward of $125 depending on your location. Shipping will be direct cost only w/o added handling etc. My Zip is 98362, Port Angeles, WA.
