LIFERAFT CANISTER & FLARE CONTAINER

Avon 4-man fiberglass "hard" canister in good condition. Needs the rubber sealing gasket cleaned off. No cracks. If your are going from a valise pack to a canister, this is what you need. Can also be used to store survival gear on deck in a waterproof container. It will hold a Winslow 4-man coastal raft packed in a valise if you want to keep the raft on deck during a passage. $25 + shipping

Hard plastic flare container with water tight screw on lid. 8-inch diameter about 14-inch tall. Will hold about 8-10 parachute flares and 2 smoke canister smoke flares. Good condition, but has some paint overspray on it. $10 + shipping

I'll sell both for $30. The flare container can be packed inside the liferaft canister to reduce shipping costs.

I can take PayPal.

Re: LIFERAFT CANISTER & FLARE CONTAINER

Do you have the inner dimensions of the canister?

Re: LIFERAFT CANISTER & FLARE CONTAINER

The inner dimensions of the canister are:

TOP half: 28" x 17" [16-1/2"] x 4-1/2"

BOTTOM half: 28" x 17" [16"] 7"

There is a "mating" lip on both halves. The "clear" dimension once you get past the lip is the 17" number; the "pass thru" numbers are the 16 & 16-1/2 (ie you could only get a brick that has the dimensions of 28" x 16" fully into the container.

When the two halves are fitted together, the external dimensions are:

32" x 18" x 12-1/2"

The canister weighs 20-lbs.

All of the dimensions are pretty close, but not exact, as the inside of the canister is slightly tapered. The numbers above are what I would use in trying to figure out if something would fit or not.

Let me know if you need another measurement/dimension.

Doug

I need the room to store more stuff, so I'm lowering the price again!

$20 for both, plus shipping.

Or come and get it in New Bern, NC 28562.
