ISOMAT Boom - NB 40 Section

ISOMAT Boom from a Tanaya 42. See pictures of what you get below.

Look at Rig-Rite Inc. - Masts, Booms, Spars, Rigging, and Hardware for Sailboats. in their Boom area for a NB-40 section and you can get all the specs.

The boom was cracked in a jibe about a year ago and a repair made. Not the best looking repair in the world, but the boom has been fully functional for the last year including sailing offshore.

The aluminum section is 16'11" in length. Take off 3" to get rid of the repair. With the gooseneck and end of boom fitting, you could have a boom with the max overall length of 17'2".

Proper repair would be to cut and join/sleeve it. RigRite can probably help out with the part you need to sleeve it.

Nearly all of the components are still on the boom, a couple have been removed. Internal lines were replaced during the repair. Boom is basically in good condition.

Buy it and take it away (roof top transportable!) or arrange for pick up by a boat transport company. Or for and extra $25 I'll take it all part and you can have just the pieces you want or just a section of the boom.

A great spare or winter project.

I can store it for 30-days once you have paid for it. I ca do PayPal, but you have to send the money as a "gift" so they don't take out 4% fees.

I would be willing to deliver it to Beaufort, NC, Morehead City, NC or to Oriental, NC for gas money or a couple of cheeseburgers or tacos!

$325.00 Dirt cheap.

Obviously $325 wasn't cheap enough.....

How about $295, or you make an offer, or give me some tear wrenching story why you need it for even less....

Re: ISOMAT Boom - NB 40 Section

OK.......somebody has to need this thing - even if just for spare parts!

Soooooo, I give in - you beat me down $199.95 !!!!

You can honestly tell your wife/girl friend you got in the hundred dollar range.

Or tell her it would make a great X-mas present , or a wall hanging, or a flag pole, or for holding up a bird feeder, or as a winter project to keep you out of trouble (or get into), or as a radar /wind machine mast. Whatever.

What happen to all the guys building ferro cement boats, or any boat for that matter? Here is your once in a lifetime chance to get a high dollar boom for dirt cheap.

Either someone gets a great deal, or I cut it up and sell it for scrap and clean out the garage.

$$$ and cheeseburgers talk, anything else reluctantly considered......

Re: ISOMAT Boom - NB 40 Section

Hi Doug,

Is the gooseneck pin included in the sale?

I'm down in beaufort, and interested in the boom.

Thanks,

Zach

Hi Zach -

No, the pin is gone, but you could probably use a cut down SS bolt.

If you PM me your e-mail, I can send you all the photos that I took of it, and can take more photos of whatever else you need to see.

Couple of cheeseburgers gets it delivered to Beaufort!
