Beckson Portlights for sale

Beckson portlights, size 15” x 8” with bug screens but no outer bezel.
I have four of these available at $35.00 each or $100 for all four, plus freight from Orlando, FL.

Re: Beckson Portlights for sale

I didn't get this quite right the first time. Here are shots of the two portlights I have immediately available. I still have one in my boat which I will remove if anyone wants a third.

The cut out for each one is 14½” x 7½” with rounded corners.
The flange depth for one is 1½ ” and the other is 2” deep.
These are the self draining model.
The plastic is fine, without crazing, and the glass is clean.
All the toggles and knobs are free turning.
Both have bug screens.
Only one has an outer bezel.
I honestly think the neoprene gaskets could do with replacing. They are a bit squashed and may not make such a good watertight seal.
All parts are available from Beckson Marine. Opening Ports by Beckson
I will let both go for $60 plus shipping. This should not be much because they are quite light. Retail is about $160.00 each.

Re: Beckson Portlights for sale

I’ll get this right eventually:

They are Bowmar ports, not Beckson. Beckson told me they used to sell Bowmar years ago, then made their own to the same design. Spares are still available at Bowmar.
Someone needed the exact cut-out size, which is: 14 3/8” wide x 7 7/16” high, with rounded corners about 1” radius.
On close inspection the bug screens have a couple of small breaks, but not large enough to let in your average house fly.
I hope that’s it…..

I honestly don't. I've looked on their website and there are a couple of sizes which nearly match, but not exactly. All I can give is the size of the two ports which I have here. It's not rocket science. You just cut the hole and glue them in.
Frankly I'm fed up with messing with them. I might just junk them in the marina trash, like I did with the ancient unworkable radar on the boat when I bough it. Only to see some fellow dismembering it on his deck for electrical spares.

Re: Beckson Portlights for sale

It isn't about fitting them, it's about trying to get a trim ring that fits and other parts. Ill give $35 for both and pay shipping. Would like to find 2 trim rings that match.
