For Sale: Barlow Winches

I have four Barlow winches from my old sailboat. These were made in 1984 or 1985. I have 2ea two-speed #25 winches, 1ea two-speed self-tailing #23 winch, and 1ea single speed #19 winch, 2ea winch disassembly tools, and Barlow parts diagrams for the #23 and the #25.

These winches could be cleaned up, lubed, and put in service, used for parts, or put in a glass front shadow box to admire. The price for each item if purchased separately is:

$50 for each #25 Winch (Includes a copy of the parts diagram)
$50 for the #23 Winch (Includes a copy of the parts diagram)
$40 for the #19 Winch
$10 for each Disassembly Tool

$190 for all the items.

These prices are $US and do not include shipping. These items are located in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Barlow #23 is sold pending funds.

The rest are available and do not require a self-tailing arm if you have someone to tail for you.

Are you certain that the 23ST is a two-speed? I have two model 23ST on my boat, and even though they have an idler and gears, they are not 2 speed, according to the successor to Barlow/Barient. See this thread:

If you don't want to read it all, the last post summarizes what I was told by Australian Winch LLC: although all 23's were two speed, NO 23ST's were. If you find that not to be the case here, PLEASE PM me so I can start asking questions again.

Might be too late, but do you still have any of the listed items?

Am looking for spare parts for my Barlow winches. Am buying a boat and all winches are barlow.

While at it- could you maybe tell me what other brands can be used as spare parts for Barlow? Since they are out of business...

Fwiw a big bolt head ground square should be enough to giterdon. You can grind flats on the shaft for a wrench....or just use a decent pair of vicegrips
