For sale in the Southern California area. This is an Auto Helm self steering wind vane. The unit was a donation to the Dana Point Sea Scouts and cannot be used. We have never used it and from what we can tell it is only missing the trim tab rudder, which can be purchased directly from Autohelm. Locale pick-up is preferred but could be shipped at the new owners cost. $1500

Found the missing parts, even the small rudder trim. The top mounting bracket for the rudder trim is missing and it appears to have some minor damage at the top of the trim piece. The mounting bracket is still available from the manufacture.

well,..i am trying to find an auxiliary trimtab wind vane but no oneproces them anymore as far as i know,..i spoke with scanmar but they no longer makes the autohelm...trhe way is to find one second hand around the globe,...thanks

Eduardo .It's quite difficult to fine one of it .I'm seeking long time to replace my damage autohelm .At the end I only have the bracket .My suggestion is get the plans or dimension for another one and ask to make a new one ,

Dear Hernan,i send an e.mail to Scanmar and they evin does not have many spare parts but there is a guy refurnishing 2 autohelms and he wants to sell it seems

Eduardo .I made the same and scanmar don't have any information and discontinued the wind vane long time ago .
Please send me the contact to this guy refurbishing the scanmars .
