Re: 10 lbs Aluminum Propane Tanks
I have no idea about dates, would have to look. They don't have any kind of certification on them but I am only asking a 100 bucks for them. Not sure it really matters. I have never had anyone refuse to fill them. They don't leak, of that I can assure you. One came with my boat, the other I purchased from used from a boat yard near our old marina.
The minor corrosion noted on the one has only occurred in the past couple months the one tank has been on our balcony with out BBQ, it's really just surface oxidation. Otherwise they have spent their lives in a Propane locker.

Good question. Obviously you can't send hazardous materials but one tank is completely empty and the other nearly so. Let me find out.
I realized, by the way, the one of the two with minor corrosion is the one that has been sitting outside the last few months hooked up to the BBQ on the balcony. Otherwise they have spent their lives protected inside a propane locker.
I guess maybe "patina" is a more accurate description than corrosion.

To ship the tanks would have to be emptied, and degassed!

Re: 10 lbs Aluminum Propane Tanks
Tank age is important as they have to be certified over a certain age. We had two tanks that we couldn't find anyone to certify so we bought new ones from West Marine. This is for the US. If outside the US, laws differ. We're now in the Bahamas and realize that they really don't care how old are tanks are. Not sure how Mexico and other Latin American countries feel about it, but I'm guessing they wouldn't care either. But in the US, companies that fill tanks will know. Just sayin'.

I believed to ship a compressed gas container, you have to remove the valve. I know you do to carry one on an airplane, and I believe the Scuba tanks I have bought that were shipped came with valves removed.
Come to think of it, that can’t be correct, I have bought propane tanks on Amazon that came with the valves installed.

Re: 10 lbs Aluminum Propane Tanks
Unfortunately these items are getting packed into a storage locker this morning as we prepare to go out of the country for an extended time later this week. My apologies for not following through with this and getting a straight answer from a shipping company but I was worried I was running out of time to be able to ship them anyway, so much to do.
All the best!

Re: 10 lbs Aluminum Propane Tanks
These have been sold to someone local, so no shipping involved.
