Which fenders to go for? Advice please

Hi All.

I'll admit I'm not as experienced as most are here in the Cruisers Forum, but some advice from old hands would be appreciated.

I spotted a new kind of fender recently and thought maybe I should get some.

Which do you recommend, Fenders A (hanging) or Fenders B (floating)? I can see potential benefits in both.

  • Protects 15' to 25' boat
  • Four 5-1/2" x 20" Tuff Shield Fenders
  • Four Dockmate 5' Fender Lines (two 2-packs)
  • 23" x 30" mesh gear bag

I got a set of these on sale, choice of line and fender color. I imagine that they float, I have not sunk the boat to find out...

Depends on your insurance situation.
