Which 2019 European Sailboat Show

My wife and I were at the boat show">Annapolis Boat show this weekend, and, sad to say, it was kinda thin. Other than the FP Astrea 42, there weren't really any new catamarans. We did fall in love with the Lagoon 450F, and because there was no crowd, really enjoyed the visit.
Next year, we want to attend a bigger show -- in Europe. Since there are numerous great shows, which is the one should we not miss?

Hi. You should definitely go to the Multihull show at La Grande Motte in France. Safe to say it's the biggest and best for multihull AND they are in the water which I think helps.

The Southampton Boat Show used to be pretty damn good back in the day.. have not been in a few years now so cant give a 'sure thing' verdict.

I went to Southampton a couple of years ago. It had a good range of European boats that we don't often see down under.

It was at Southampton that I got the gadget that makes the now world famous raw egg toasted hot cross buns we now serve for breakfast on all our passages.

Sydney is always fun too, although not technically in Europe.

I suggest you visit these Boat Shows in Europe, they are on the waters' edge so you can actually enter the boats in-water :

• Salon Nautico in Barcelona in October
• Grand Pavois boat show in La Rochelle also in October

They display mono and multi-hulls along with motorboats from the top builders (Lagoon, Jeanneau, Beneteau, Fountaine Pajot...)

You could probably use a previous catalogue as a guide so little has changed although I think the hot tubs stand vanished post 2008 as people decided they were a bit naff in the UK climate.
