Gotta disagree, this whole thread is based on a stupid question

But if you were an amphibian, reading this, and not sure where you felt best at home, would that make you a cross-dweller, por a transphibian? I thought i should bring a serious note to this discussion for those that do not like "banter" threads.

Thank you for returning us to the serious side of the discussion and apologies to all the banter haters (both of you).

Now for the rest of us, cross-dwellers were partially dwelt with (pun intended) with DOJ's revelation of how he came to know the truth about Santa Claus so all I can add at this stage is IRobot Transphibian - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

however it doesn't seem to have any application on land so perhaps this is just thread drift (unless there is an intertidal version available).

Can anyone help out here?

I have never lived in a house like yours, but I have owned many, many houses and the one I now own is better than the one you chose for yourself. PM me for more details on MY house and why I bought it...

In order to make the transition to land you need to raft up 6 boats. Buy a bunch of crap you don't need and arbitrarily spread it around the six hulls. See if you can grab a bunch of old family heirlooms or something from your granny and store all this crap on deck to simulate having an attic. Hook up shore power and leave all your lights and heaters on 24 X 7 to simulate expected levels of power consumption. Hook up shore water and run all your showers about 3 hours a day. You will need to buy a few more lcd screens because on shore they are usually used for single purposes not matrixed with nav, entertainment etc.

You will likely need at least one hull to be filled with lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, weed whackers, shovels, rakes and a whole host of crap used to take care of grass, hedges and trees.

On the deck of one hull you will need to remove the mast and dry dock a crapped out 30 foot hull on top to simulate the crapped out 30 foot hull you will have in your backyard that is being "refit" for your eventual around the world adventure...

What do you do to keep from getting bored?
Will my Kindle work ashore?
How can I get Wi-Fi for free 10 miles from the repeater?

Or - "with only this $8,000 list of parts and a phd in electronics you can build this hyper-directional-geosynchronous-400 gigawat-dohickiemathingie mounted on your chimney that will steal any cable tv and wireless singnals within a 300 mile radius while simultaneously suppressing the signals to your neighbors within 4 blocks. You will need to turn it off when the FCC van comes a snoopin. For that there is a $2000 van detector. Bloody government limiting our freedoms..."

Re: What if Dwelling on Land Were the Exception Rather Than the Rule?

That is obviously an envy lizard, the colour gives it away. They are grown, and trained, in Mozambique,(Refer DOJ for location of this place), and although they look cute and loveable, they are actually employed by the government to report all transphibians and cross -dwellers who spend too much time on land whilst claiming to not be there, thereby avoiding taxes. Some have been known to infiltrate forums, spying on folks who are thinking along the same lines.

Yeah. I see this one spying on us all the time. He first checks on your car insurance then narks you out! In fact, I think I've seen him lurking on this forum.

Re: What if Dwelling on Land Were the Exception Rather Than the Rule?

There are so many people so close all the time.

They look at me strangely.

They look strange, and scary.

Some have yelled at me. Some have come in the yard to snap about how I am doing things all wrong.

They scare me.

What kind of guns should I get as many seem to have them?

Would a mono barrel be as good as good as one with two? What about three? Best of both worlds. They call it a "drilling".
