What Does My Bavaria Site Look Like in Non-IE Browsers ?

I'm still working on my Bavaria Yacht Forum site, and have just added an "Add to Favorites" button on the Home page. In theory, this should only appear to users with Internet Explorer (hopefully IE4 and higher), but I don't easily have the means to test that it doesn't break the page for other users (I like my IE9!). I've asked the same question in my forum, but it seems that almost everybody uses IE!

I attach a picture of what it should look like in IE. If you have another browser does it look OK, but without the gold Favorites Star? No need to post pictures, just a yes or no would be fine.

Note that users of other browsers can use CTRL+D or CTRL+F to add the page (I think!)

It looks fine in Firefox v 7.0.1. The gold star is there, too.

Re: What does my Bavaria site look like in non-IE browsers?

nigelmercier,

There's a couple free ways to test cross browser compatibility yourself:

* Creating virtual machines with different versions of IE installed. Download software at VMware Virtualization Software for Desktops, Servers & Virtual Machines for Public and Private Cloud Solutions
* Receive screenshots from a web application. For example, navigate to Check Browser Compatibility, Cross Platform Browser Test - Browsershots
* Stream virtual applications through a OS sandbox -> See Use your apps and files anywhere - Spoon.net

Site looks fine in Mozilla 7.0.1 for Ubuntu 11.04 though kind of bland without any photos.
