Smile Want to sail in Kona?

While I was visiting Kona-Kailua Hawaii, I wanted to go out sailing.

The best deal I found was with Kona Sailing Club, Its a club that offers memberships in boats in their fleet. Also if you have a Trailerable sailboat on the island they offer a yard near the boat ramp to keep it with the mast stepped. Trailerable is a misnomer because there were some pretty big boats on trailers in that yard.

Anyways, for the price of two months membership and a hefty deposit I got to go sailing on a Cal 22 off Honokohau Marina.

It was a wonderful time. Captain Michael, a member checked me out, and then we went sailing twice, I sailed with my family once.

I wish I was there now.
