What beautiful soft corals!

Your sea urchins are monsters compared to the ones here in the eastern Med. It is hard to get a perspective of size from photos, but the spikes in my shots are only about 1.5 inches long.

Re: Underwater Photography

Enjoying everyone's photos from urchins to people underwater ~ or under ice as the case may be

That action photo of the jump-in splash with surface reflections is excellent, hoppy.

Keep 'em coming... still counting the days until I'm back underwater.

Well caught Ken! I haven't seen an octopus out in the open like that yet.

This was another octopus garden (a bit smaller than the last one) on two different days - unoccupied and occupied. I love the redecorating :

Re: Underwater Photography

I think there're more octopus out there than we realize, their camo makes them almost invisible.

Re: Underwater Photography

When I first spotted this group, this is what they looked like. I didn't see the octopus right away, just the fish acting strangely staring at each other in a circle. The fish are approximately six inches long. Click on the photo, then look very carefully for the octopus... He's there.
