I've come to appreciate last.fm, because you can name your artist and last.fm will stream music from that artist plus others it assigns to the same genre. It's like having a radio
station that has mixed a steady stream of music that's right in the groove to fit your mood.
For example, if you google
Bob Marley music, last.fm will be one of the options the search returns. If you click on last.fm, then click on Play Bob Marley Radio
, the first track will be something of his and the following tracks will be from artists like Peter Tosh or Inner Circle, etc., but the artist you started with will get more play than any other artist assigned to that genre by last.fm.
Once it starts to become repetitious and a bit monotonous, or your mood changes and you'd like another genre, ask for an artist who represents that genre to you, then click Play (that artist's) Radio, and you're off in another direction. All music, no advertising.
