Take your spot on a pub crawl. Then we can speculate on what you were drinking. For a laugh you could also pass a local police station and send your last position from there. That should get the posts flowing 😉

Almerimar is not an exotic location, at least for us living on this side of the world. Would you call Devonport exotic?

Re: spot the boatman!

Well, actually, we did find Devonport a mite exotic, when we first arrived there. We are ex San Francisco sailors.

Everywhere you go, it's a cultural experience.

OK, not 100% sure if Devonport is truly exotic or not; it did seem a trifle exotic a couple years back when we finally arrived by Spirit of Tas after driving across the Nullabor towing our our life behind us

But you know what, I reckon Almerimar is truly exotic, if only while Boatie is in residence there

Gosh, he even made Darwin and Perth exotic during his sojourn downunder and they are still talking about him in the bar at Port Huon and that was yonks ago.

Almeria is exotic.
It even has John Smith Beer.

Re: spot the boatman!

So talked with Phil this morning. No news on the recon gearbox. Been 18 days now and the 'expedited' delivery has not arrived.

It is frustrating when these things happen. It would be nice if an explanation could be elicited but those involved seem to be conspicuous by their absence of late. Could be embarrassment by the delay from the engineering company.

In any event, the largest online Cruising Forum in the world is watching with interest. What should be an easy repair job is dragging on a little. Im trying hard to find a good reason for this delay but failing miserably.

People.
