Guess when Phil gets to his home mooring, he will have to go through every system again to be sure to be sure.

pirate Re: spot the boatman!

When I get to Fig da Foz it'll be rip everything out and start again.. elecs, floor, etc etc.. and topsides needs deck cleats, a decent sheet system for solo sailing and sails made for the boat.. not hand me downs from secondhand shops.. a hard dodger and spray guards at the cockpit but when she sails.. she's a dream.
Definitely a serious sailboat.. just needs a bit of knowledge invested in her fitout.. not crap read in some book...

Meow. The cats are out and boaty is back!

What a story. Never guess it was ngin issues, but then you were moving slow, and you kick the ngin in gear usually, and so we should have had a clue...but we were having a party!

Hurrah for Boaty, now git to work and gix this monster. Send pixs please.

Re: spot the boatman!

Oh, Boatie,

So sorry about the tranny. It must have been a granny tranny. I hope your German Engine God is more reliable than the Dutch Cowboy. What misfortune to inherit those kinds of problems, and what a lesson for buyers of older boats! Super plans for her, though, great she sails well, eh?

I hope you enjoy the cervezas and that it all comes right soon.

P.S. I've noticed that most Biggleses purely succumb in very light airs!

Cheers,

Ann & Jim

Yikes Boatie, this really starting to sound like a full on delivery...

Hope all works out with the gearbox and that this will be the end of the troubles.
