Spanish Immersion Classes in Guatemala

Currently, were in Antigua Guatemala taking Spanish Immersion classes and loving every minute of it! We cannot say enough great things about the beautiful city (over 300 years old), its warm generous people, and especially about our wonderful teacher(s)!!
Origionally we decided to take a two week Spanish class, and after actually living with our teacher we found it to be better than expected! We are staying an additional week!!
Our boat is safely moored with the El Salvador Rally (at Bahia del Sol marina -El Salvador) while were taking inland trips such as this.
I highly reccomend Antigua Guatemala if youre anywhere in the area, and the Spanish language immersion classes too!!

Re: Spanish Immersion Classes in Guatemala

Antigua Guatemala was founded in the XVI century around 1525 to 1530 (I'm not sure the exact date) and that's more around 500 years than 300.....

Yep! You are correct...what more can I say but it's a beautiful place to visit and spend time exploring the local areas.

I had actually considered taking a class like that! Can you post up some more details?

Re: Spanish Immersion Classes in Guatemala

There are a lot of Spanish schools in Antigua, many are owned by Canaidan and Americans, but we wanted our money to go to a local Guatemalan teacher and family...we believe it's just part of being a good cruiser to support the local team. Information can be gained from our teacher (Patty) via email at juliama_14@hotmail.com We cannot say enough great things about Antigua, Guatemala, and especially the quality of teaching. I hope you have a great time as we did!
