Right as for the rest of you. Had you bothered to read the link, you would see:

1 - The article starts with a photo of a mermaid. Ergo, mermaids exist.
2 - The article states:

Please, stop jumping to wild conclusions which don't match with the evidence presented.
Read 5 probably don't exist.... The dream lives :-)

Hi everybody! The photo of the mermaid earlier in the thread is our daughter, Ayla (15 years old). We have been living aboard and cruising for 3-1/2 years, but Ayla just grew her mermaid tail this spring, so it takes awhile for the metamorphosis to occur. You can find all 28 of Ayla's "From the Pilothouse" videos on the Three at Sea web site under the Videos section. She just posted a new one about changing zincs on our boat.

Safe cruising!

SS, you know me, I always have a link. This page has the links to the videos, most done by Ayla. I've invited her (through her dad, David) to join us on the Cruiser's Forum. I've learned a lot about the locks in the States via her informative videos.
Videos

A sample of her "From the Pilothouse series".

Did anyone read the cited article? Any criticism should be directed toward the Discovery Channel.

+1 on the Rum. Just goes to show that too much bourbon or rye just don't work the same.

Hi David,

Just went through Colorado a couple of days ago. Darn wild fires. Next time out are you folks headed further south in the Caribbean?

Re: Sadly Mermaids Don't Exist...

Mermaids were fished to commercial extinction years ago to supply the Japanese market.

Re: Sadly Mermaids Don't Exist...

It's good to know my tax dollars are being used productively. It's not those funds could have been directed toward free health insurance or education.

That said, if they have to tell me don't exist, it must mean mermaids are alive and real... Or may it's all a big cover-up because Poseidon, who finally had enough of the landlubbers' antics upon his sea is secretly preparing his mermaid armies to conquer and enslave us all!!!!

That must be it..... Quick everyone! Buy some flippers and try to blend in
