What I really enjoy reading is the DK series of travel guides. I've purchased almost every one for the mediterranean areas that I want to cruise. Then, when I find a reference to a spot I like, I use Google Earth to check out more pictures of it.

I just finished Corsica and before reading it may have considered staying along the coast of Italy and skipping that island. Now, I'm trying to figure out how I can spend a month there. Montenegro holds a lot of promise also.

I just got done with "Bluewater Gold Rush" by Tom Kendrick it was a quick read for me but the story was a good one.
"Art Of War" by Sun Tzu, Not a Sailing book but everone should read it.

A reference book about maritime history and everything nautical.
My copy sits in the rack, near my "throne"
Good choice. I've basically totalled the spine of a '70s edition I got at a yard sale. On the upside, it proved to be the clincher when I played "c*ntsplice" in Scrabble.
