Re: Previous owner had a sense of humor

Not just a rubber snake: a rubber snake purposely propped up to stare into the face of the next unsuspecting person who opens the cockpit locker.

Well-played, Mr. Bond: well-played, indeed.

Re: Previous owner had a sense of humor

I suspect the rubber snake is used to scare birds away, so it may not have been a practical joke, it may have been the coincidence of being the last thing tossed into the locker.

Either way, that was funny! I could just see that happening to my wife! I'm sure she'd have broken something trying to get away from it!

Interesting. Although it was far from the last thing in there. That pic was after removing about three layers worth of stuff!

I studied geology, which has been a great boon for this boat purchase. I just keep digging down through the stratigraphic layers of gear, and make new discoveries at every turn! Although a bit more attentive now, lest there be any other funnies laying about...

Re: Previous owner had a sense of humor

Had a problem with Swallows/Martin's or Swifts siting on the lifelines of our previous Catamaran and crapping on the deck, put 6 or so rubber snakes out and they crapped on them as well.....
