Is This Some Sort of World Record

Spotted this on Google Maps. Wonder what happens if the guy at the back wants to launch early?

I know that I do not want to be there.

Looks fairly typical of marinas on the Great Lakes. Most parking lots get filled with boats in the winter and the pack them in tight.

If you want an early season launch, you hold off until late for haul out and make sure they are aware.

Usually it takes care of itself. Those who only boat memorial to labor day get hauled first and wind up in the back. Those that push the season April to October wind up near the launch slip.

I'm guessing it's the marina that's just to the west of the customs and immigration office on Corfu.

Spot on!

I was thinking about having my boat hauled out on Corfu next winter as it is easier to get to from the UK than Preveza. Well getting to the island might be easy, getting on baord your boat might not be!!

Because we are a foreign flagged boat we have to get a transit log instead of a Depka. So we have to use the main C & I on Corfu. We anchored off shore and tied our dingy to the sea wall at that marina. It's pretty rough and dirty.

I'm really happy with Messolonghi. It's a 3.5 hour bus ride from Athens main bus station to the town. One way trip from airport to marina including cab and transfer bus takes about 4.5 hours and costs 50 euro. Or you can hire a one way private shuttle for 300 euro.

I'd at least have them quote you for the year storage. It is under half what Cleopatra quoted me.

I have no problems with Cleopatra and they do give good value for money. Just getting there in winter is really difficult. I was put off Messolonghi following bad things on the forum regarding their associated maintenance deprtment!
We shall probably only do one more summer in the Ionian and then move down around the Athens area in spring next year.
Any suggestions?
