Honda 2000 and a dive compressor?

Why not just buy a petrol Honda motor for the Bauer? That is what I have done, much cheaper and simpler.

There is always the petrol motor option, just noisier and since I will have the Honda generator anyway, I thought it would be sensible to use it, or them, for the dive compressor as well.

What am I missing...the power factor, AC phase, of the two Honda generators has to synch up to correctly power the compressor motor. How does this happen or do they sync when the load is applied? Or are you proposing to run both generators into two battery chargers and then run the compressor through the inverter?

Honda EU2000 units have an option to sync them in parallel with a connecting cable. Then the outputs can be paralleled to drive a 3kW+ load. For Honda this is "easy" to do because the generators actually produce AC via an inverter. Electronically syncing the two inverters is pretty easy and the motors do not have to run at the exact same RPM as would be needed to sync up two standard diesel generators.

Very clever, who would think it and consequently with the inverter they don't need fine governance on the RPM.
