Good Two-Person Games for the Boat

We have a few different games that we play while at anchor etc. But are on the look for new ones (can only play cards so long). So who has come across good 2 person games for the boat that

don't take a lot of room to store
don't have to be spread out too much and will fit on the saloon table
don't stack up or get roll etc with boat rocking
don't have a bunch of little pieces that are going to end up in the bilge

GO (the ancient chinese game, only the oldest game in the world)

my buddy turned me on to it a year ago and we have spent countless hours playing and it never gets old.

caveat: there are many little peices that could end up in the bilge but you could look for a magnetic board & pieces, then no worries

DOMINOES! Once you get real good, you can go hustle money from the locals...NOT!

Traverse. We have one with a roll-up cloth gameboard.

Backgammon. Small sets are available.

Scrabble. We have a small set that holds the pieces in place.

Cribbage.

If you can find a board made for the visually impaired is best. It is designed to hold the tiles in place. It a little bigger then the regular board, but not much.

Jigsaw - but must use a proper roll up jigsaw holder.

Rummy Tiles can become addictive. Up to four can play, but it's best with two.

Yahtzee. Takes 5 dice, a score pad and pencil. Lots of fun, can play with almost as many people as you want.

Viv has just bought a set of Jenga, that wooden block game, for on board entertainment. It was too painfull to point out the error of her way so we now have all these wooden oblong blocks on board.

Free, no storage requirements of any kind.

An Aussie favourite is "Hide the Sausage". We play it most evenings at anchor.

"Liars Dice" takes two small cups that nest together and 14 dice. Looser gets to clean the bottom. LoL

Great game!!!!!!!!!! 2 person version is great!

We have a game, it takes about 15 minutes then after that you can go do something else. Its not one you feel compelled to play over and over (best of 3, 5, 87)

, CHESS !!!! 10 tothe hundreth power total possible games, thats more games than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of earth; you could throw in all the grains under the oceans and you will still not come close to this #. Get a magnetic set for bouncy conditions ans a chess book for when alone.
