French Canal

Hi,

Does anyone have any local knowledge (or experience) of hiring Canal boats in France.

Thinking of 2 adults & 2 kids age 10 ?

Thanks

James

Re: French Canal

Hi James,
Did it last year in Brittany - good fun - no licence needed - you learn to work the locks, can tie up to the bank if you want, and the towns had free marinas. If you hire bikes with the boat, the kids can ride along the path beside you.
Try to choose a circular route so you don't have to retrace your steps.
Regards,
Richard.
