This caught my eye
While I am not very good at it yet, I you can probably count me as the other person who lives aboard and has a felting hobby. Keeping the wool dry has never been a problem. I just store the wool roving in a zip lock bag (with the air squeezed out) and put it somewhere dry on the boat, where it won't be against an outside wall.
I also keep little baskets from the dollar store with roving scraps for my son to work with out and about. Tell your wife to contact me and / or check out our blog and she'll see wool crafting aboard in action.
