Felting / Wool Crafts

I paint watercolours, fish, scuba-dive and can amuse myself for hours doing small repairs to my boat. My wife enjoys felting, a hobby which does not automatically spring to mind as one of the top ten hobbies for liveaboards. Does any one out there (a) felt on board (while moored up) (b) do any other wool related crafts, and if so, how do you keep the wood from getting damp?
