Re: Erie Canal

The way global warming has messed with the Great Lakes, I'd say about August.

Dear LeBelle-come visit us at the Toronto island Marina. We are two away from the fuel dock. Our boat up there is Frolix.

I did the math for my Fantasia 35, I figure it should take very close to 38 days. Maybe more, not likely less.

Assuming you don't head offshore, that would be long days and no allowance for weather/breakdown/lock closures.

We would plan on 60day if we were in a rush but more like 90 days to make it a relaxing trip with time to visit along the way.

With the OP's motor yacht, 38 days is probably realistic as 100-200 miles days are possible without killing yourself (not on the erie though due to locks.)

Yes, those are 38 travel days, limited offshore, generally long days.

I no longer do Toronto to Miami but when I did I used to start early September and get to Miami in late November early December. You can do it in a lot less But that would seem like work. If you have to worry about time it's no longer cruising.
