Does anybody in here remember this classic old John Wayne movie. Called "THE SEA CHASE."

The movie plot:

A renegade German freighter captain has both the British and German Navies in hot pursuit when he embarks from Australia across the Pacific as WWII breaks out. To make matters worse, the globetrotting adventuress he takes on as a passenger, has the crew in a lather.

Tiki

As a noun is a greenstone figure, as a verb it is to fetch.
They may have a different meaning in Hawaii.
The do have Tiki Tours. I used to know the owner. He was basically a travel agent but did local tours, bike rentals and such.
That was in the late sixties early seventies.

My wife says everywhere she goes with me is an adventure. I must admit, I have run into my share of obstacles over the years.
A for instance: we took a trip on the bike up to a friend's gold claim to go camping for Memorial day about 9 years ago. There were storms and floods the week before, and the sign for the turn off was missing, so we missed the turn. THe next sign we saw said Reno 15 miles, soooo, we went to Reno, had dinner, and couldn't find a Motel, so we decided to head home (about 5 hours ride). At that elevation, the temps were about 35 degrees. We were not prepared for the cold. We tried Boom town, and Trukee, but no place to stay, so we rode on. We got to Nyak, about an hour further down the road, and saw a sign for a camp site. Pulled in, and set up the tent in the first open site we found. It was so dark, we could not see anything around us. When we woke up, we were camped next to a fantastic stream, and surrounded by huge boulders. The perfect camp site

It' time for another great sailing adventure series. With the popularity of Master and Commander, and some of the other recent movies, I am surprised no one has come up with anything.

Got it, liked it, but I have to say it does not live up to the hype. It is, however, a good candidate for a series.
Not sure anyone could get the rights to put Pat Obrien's stuff on TV. Too bad, some of his stories would translate well to the small screen.

I'm looking into the movie "The long ships". Today I found what it was called. I saw it as a kid and I think it was boring but I never forgot that big bell rolling over Sidney Poitier.

Well, since we have wondered off onto the big screen, has anyone ever seen the "tight little island"?
My wife has been teling me about it for years, but we have not been able to locate a copy, so I have yet to find out what all the hubub is about.

Have you seen that movie Kai?

I have never even heard of that title before. Do you know what it's all about?
