Doctor Who - required watching. Shame the Doctor for the first series of the revised show has quit and been replaced.
Billie Piper has proven to be a much better actress than everyone expected. There have been good links to the old shows as well, but nicely brought up to date.

Yeah Billie Piper has been in the show business for about a decade now.

She was a singer. Had a couple of hit singles on the charts before she was 16 years old!!

Now that's showmanship there!!

I look forward in getting the Doctor Who DVD "first season". It'll be available in the US sometime in late spring or early summer?

I plan to buy it!!

Anyone else bought "Serenity" (Alternative solution to second series of Firefly)

Heres hoping Fox take up the reigns and produce a second series.

I doubt that the FOX network will bring back "Firefly"?

Eventhough I liked the show. And that the show had a following. It's those damn suit & ties that makes the decisions at FOX!!

It's like the same thing with "Farscape"!! I loved that show. And the Sci-Fi channel killed it. Luckily they brought it back in a two part miniseries to finish the show.

But those suit & ties like putting rubbish like "Ghost Hunters", and "Scare Tactics" on the Sci-Fi channel. WTF, does those two shows have anything to do with science fiction.

RUBBISH!!! I tell you!!

The new Who, is, in my opinion, much better than the old Who. My wife is the Trekkie.

Well sneuman.

I really love all of the "Star Trek" shows. But to be be more precise. Just recently, I developed a big interest in the show "Doctor Who".

When I was growing up back in California. Every Saturday, late morning. This one channel would show "Doctor Who". And I at that time didn't really had an interest in the show at that time. Mostly due to I was too busy taking care of personnel business, before noon.

During my afternoon's on Saturday's was "Creature Feature" time. And every Saturday afternoon, I would watch horror movies or sci-fi movies on "Creature Feature". It was great. They don't have it anymore!!

Apperantly, after I grew up and left home. After joining the Navy. They stopped that program, about 5 years after I left home.

The television networks now days so mostly crap shows. Stuff like reality TV shows. Way too damn many talk shows. And police programs. Like everybody gives a sh!t!!

When I was growing up. The TV medium was prefect IMHO. Every channel had a equal amount of quality programs. Along with the crappy programs.

I just wish they had the programming like they had back in the 1980's!!!

I love both Stargate SG-1 & Stargate Atlantis. Both are good quality shows. Plenty of action and laughs.

Never a dull moment on those two shows!!

Wow .... "Adventures in Paradise". The TV series was kind of 'korny' but I LOVED that boat.
My neighbor wrote the book! ... a fine and gentle soul who researched long and hard for every book he ever wrote. James Michener was simply amazing.

In the very same town, my wife grew up across from the field where Oscar Hammerstein wrote "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" - which sadly has been destroyed by tinseled overpriced chintzy 'development' for rude 'foreigners' from NY/NJ ... and even Michener eventually gave up and moved out of town.

This web site has quite a bit of info about the show...
http://capitainetroy.free.fr/eng/home.html

TV.com also has a nice episode guide:
http://www.tv.com/adventures-in-para...0/summary.html

There are a few people selling DVDs on eBay - I have no idea of the quality. Check feedback ratings - at least one seller had a lot of bad feedback.

Forgottenfilms.biz has a 65 episode DVD set here:
http://www.forgottenfilms.biz/custom...cat=323&page=1

I also found a couple of references to this boat, which appears to be the original Tiki, now renamed the Seaspray: http://www.southpacificdirect.com/ad...-paradise.html

There's more here:
