Charleston Sailing

I want to plan a two or three day sail itinerary leaving out of Charleston, SC. I'm thinking short sails (an hour or two) with an opportunity to moor or anchor and explore either the water or land.

Any ideas?

You can't really go either way (north or south on the ICW) under sail, but you could motor north to any of several nice anchorages. Many are on the ocean side and you can dinghy to an ocean beach.

Look on active captain.

You can sail in the harbor or out to sea.

Re: Charleston Sailing

There are a couple nice creeks 2-3 hours south near bohicket.
Let me know if you would like a deckhand, I learned to sail in charleston harbor and surrounding area.
