I recently started using a Fuji X100
, a digital rangefinder with traditional controls for manual shooting, and am so happy with it-- it's the first digital camera
I really like, that feels as good in my hands as a Nikon FE
or Yashica TLR
I just wanted to share in case another enthusiast hasn't tried one of these retro digital cameras. I got one have a small camera
to always carry with me (my Nikon DSLR too rarely leaves the boat), but have been surprised by how well it fits me-- how fun it is to use-- and that it doesn't have the fiddly feel of every other digital camera I've had. I like it as much as my favorite old film cameras, and, like them, will probably keep it long after its obsolete, because I smile when I pick it up and it makes me want to play with it and start framing and capturing moments.
