Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Many moons since I've posted.

These are from this years "hajj" to Folly. I had high hopes of hitching a ride as I JUST finished my "basic keelboat certification" but alas, I was laid low by sniffles halfway through our trip.

Found a groovy bar at the Sunset Cay marina.

View from my seat:

End of the day:

End of the day's catch:

There's a reason they call it "Sunset Cay"!

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Just a short note on this photograph. This was commissioned by Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville (Wyndam world Wide). They are getting ready to level an old resort at the location here on St Thomas to build the new one. They wanted a photo taken on site to do initial promotions. I had a very restricted view I could use. Nothing on the right or left side of the bay could be in the photo. They wanted basically a beach shot. They had requested the local (St Thomian) management to clean the beach for me as it was littered with heavy sea grass from a recent storm.

Well the clean up didn’t happen. They needed a shot … like NOW! so this is one of 3 shots I produced for them givin the tight restrictions and failure of the local management.

They were very happy. I will post more later.

I’m going sailing next week to do some stock work. see you all then.

Cheers,

Gary

I'm severly behind editing my raw pictures, but here's this capture in the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs:

This was done with my Canon 5D Mk.II with it's simple 24-105L kit lens
