Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Shot from my yacht whilst sailing.
Canon 1Dx, 100-400L & 1.4x @ f13 & 1/3200

Cropped & converted to B&W. Was actually shot daytime but post makes it look more like night time

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but Samsung makes some good mirrorless cameras. They're lighter, faster and can use most other brands of lenses with an adapter. They also have some very good lenses in their lineup. I have everything from 12mm Samsung lenses to 2,000mm Russian glass plus macros and doublers.

My NX20 is 20.3MP, shoots 8fps continous, 30 frame bursts, 1/8000 sec shutter speed, 12800 ISO, shoots 1080p HD video, big Amoled screen, bluetooth connection to my Android Note II for wireless shutter release as well as Wifi photo transfers.

The only thing I don't know is how well it will hold up in a moist environment.

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Taken about 7 years ago, Ventisquero Pio XI, Chile..... Nikon D70S at 1/1,250.

The first is utilising less than 10% of the image.... it was actually a pic of something else ( leaping dolphins)... I spotted this on the edge of frame some years later....

The laminar flow(?) coupled with the exhaling before breaking surface I found interesting.

They are Peale's Dolphins... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peale's_dolphin
