Do you mind if I snag these two pictures? They will be quite well received on a Cobra forum I belong to, not to mention my T forum.

Looks like Stateside members are sharing pictures of their Aussie Falcons since I posted yours there. Didn't even know we had many of them on these shores.

Re: Any classic car enthusiasts on board ?

I have a '69 VW Beetle with an autostick. I had to do some work as soon as I got it, replacing the transmission and floor before repainting it. I would call it 'semi-ratrodded' because I did the paint with spray cans and I won't be doing much for the interior.

The last post now states

Tell him he only has one chance then we will have Nomad "assimilate" him. "we are the Borg"

I guess if you don't want to assimilate into a Borg, you need to answer some questions on your cars.

AARGH! How did I miss this?
"Bahamas speed week revival" - See page 70 March 2012 issue of Road & Track magazine. Maserati, Lister-Bristol, XK140, Lotus 11, and Sir Stirling Moss in an OSCA. An island tour, a concours, a hillclimb, and timed sprints on a beachside course!
I think I'll be in Nassau next year.

Re: Any classic car enthusiasts on board ?

Used to have one of these:

Mine was home built, (not by me) and had a Triumph engine.

Long time ago, so no digital pics, and the paper ones are in the shed somewhere...

Re: Any classic car enthusiasts on board ?

Has any heard of the Berkeley Roadster Special? I had one back in the 60's in Vancouver, Canada, fire engine red with a 3 cyl, 2 cycle Lee Enfield engine, 3 speed transmission and front wheel chain drive. It was so light I could lift the rear of the vehicle over my head. Drove it off a cliff in Stanley Park and nearly killed myself and unfortunately don't have any pics but great memories. Sold her to some poor, unsuspecting bastard who wanted to rebuild her after the wreck but still miss her... Capt Phil

Re: Any classic car enthusiasts on board ?

I had a Berkeley way back in the sixties in the UK. They made a three wheeler as well, two at the front and one, obviously, at the back. Sold it due to being not fast enough and bought my all time favourite car, Lotus Super Seven. No doors, exhaust alongside the left hand side, everyone used to know who my girlfriends were by the burnmark on their left calf. I was always a gentleman though and used to hop out, i could then, and stand and assist them out. This was the age of the mini-skirt so it was worth the effort.

PS. I thought about buying one a couple of years ago, but found it hard to get out of with any kind of dignity at all.

Coops.

Re: Any classic car enthusiasts on board ?

Back in the day, NOTHING cornered like a Lotus Super Seven. Come to think of it, nothing today corners like a 7 except maybe the Aerial Atom.
